Zoom whitening treatments are only offered at certain locations and are only allowed to be done by a professional dentist. In approximately 45 minutes, Zoom can make your teeth up to 8 shades lighter! Typically, Zoom is only a one day procedure, and it isn't very time consuming. Before the procedure, a typical teeth cleaning is highly recommended, and even required by some offices.
The procedure typically begins with a short preparation to cover the lips and tongue, leaving only the teeth exposed. Then, the dentist or dental assistant will apply the Zoom hydrogen peroxide whitening gel, which when combined with the Zoom light penetrates the teeth and breaks up stains and discoloration. The gel remains in place for 15 minutes while the light is activated.
